about

Hello, I'm Susan Weser, founder of Speaking2Win, a public speaking and presentation skills coaching consultancy based in Melbourne, Australia.

I help professionals, executives, and leaders across all industries, become calm, confident, and compelling communicators.

Why Speaking Skills Matter

Strong communication isn’t just a “nice to have”—it’s a business necessity.

LinkedIn’s 2019 Global Talent Trends report showed that 92% of talent professionals and hiring managers say that soft skills are just as important–or more important–than hard skills.

For individuals, confidence in public speaking can open doors, whether that’s securing a promotion, a new role, or an opportunity to lead.

And for organisations, presentation and public speaking skills help build stronger client relationships, foster collaboration, and enable effective decision-making by leadership.

    -Anne-Margaret Healy

  • “I recently attended a workshop by Susan Weser at NAB Village on strategies to beat procrastination. Being a regular workshop attendee, I had an idea of what to expect. But Susan didn't just stand and deliver like most trainers do. She engaged us from the first minute with a very professional slide presentation, facilitated a roundtable discussion that got even the quietest members participating, and brought her unique energy and fresh perspective to a topic everyone knows about, and turned even that into a challenge to transform our personal productivity habits. I highly recommend Susan if you are looking for a professional corporate trainer, speaker, or facilitator for your in-house programs.”

My Journey: From Quiet in Meetings to Confident in the Spotlight

Early in my career, I worked in Information Technology, including two incredible years as an IT consultant in New York City. I thrived in fast-paced, high-pressure environments, constantly learning new skills and adapting to new technologies.

But what held me back in those days was the fear of public speaking. In meetings, I was quiet, barely uttering a word. When we had our weekly team meetings, and I had to deliver a status report, anxiety set in. My face would redden, my heart would race, and I would feel awkward and selfconscious.

Looking back now, I know that keeping myself invisible, held me back from being promoted to a new Business Analyst role for which I had applied, and had so desperately wanted.

That experience was one of the catalysts that led me to overcome my fear once and for all. I enrolled in a public speaking course, joined a public speaking group, spoke in front of as many groups as I could, and became a certified trainer. What began as a personal challenge turned into a professional calling!

Along the way, I discovered that I loved public speaking and presenting - a far cry from my earlier days. Nowadays, when I facilitate a workshop, I feel energised and happy. I relish sharing my knowledge and experience, and to feel that I am making a difference.

My mission is to provide my clients with the tips, tools, and techniques that I have learnt on my journey, with the goal of fast-tracking their public speaking success.

I am patient, supportive and encouraging, and am passionate about empowering others to be their best, most engaging and influential selves, when they are in the speaking spotlight.
